I recently had knee replacement surgery.

This was due to be carried out at Worcester Royal Hospital, as was my previous successful surgery three years ago.

Having been on the waiting list for Worcester since last August, when the opportunity arose to have it performed by the same surgeon, but at the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch I reluctantly accepted. I have to confess to a certain amount of apprehension in going to the Alexandra.

It has been very short on praise in the local press.

However, I can say I was delighted with my care at Redditch.

The wonderful staff on Ward 16 work tirelessly and their care and encouragement during my recovery was second to none. Even the choice and presentation of the meals was superb! I can honestly say I enjoyed my stay there.

Should I need hospital treatment again in the future, I would willingly go to the Alexandra Hospital.
