ON JULY 16, our car was properly parked outside of the Alms Houses in the Birmingham Road, Alcester.
At about 3.30pm it was hit, fortunately we were not in it, by (according to witnesses) a grey Audi estate car which then “sped off”.
Our car was destroyed – written off.
We have a big bill to settle, plus the inconvenience of being without transport while the driver of the other car gets off scott free.
The police are helpless until they find the car (they want to proceed as the incident is now a criminal offence) but in the meantime the driver goes happily on his way.
There must be lots of people out there who have had similar experiences and feel as helpless in the face of sheer indifference of people who commit crimes and just escape their responsibility.
Name and address supplied Alcester
