BATTLEFIELD Memorial Tours is looking for people interested in going to Normandy for the D-Day commemorations in early June.
The group is a voluntary and charitable supporting organisation.
The escorted trips to the Normandy beaches are timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings (June 5-9).
Individuals, clubs or groups are welcome and hotel accommodation is booked. The tours include visits to other sites in this beautiful part of France. Any veterans or their spouses would be entitled to lottery funding or a friend could go as a carer. It’s £385 for a five-day trip, including accommodation and evening meals. We are also running a trip to Arnhem from September 19-23 for £430. Departure is from Walsall, en-route to Shirley, and pick ups can be arranged via the M42, M6, M1. Visits to personal military graves can be arranged. A few places are available for the July 5-9 trip to the WWI Somme, Ypres and Mons battlefields at £399. Visit www.battlefieldmemorialtours.
