The very first monthly meeting of Droitwich U3A was very well attended.
We were given an extremely stimulating demonstration of woodwind instruments from an original ram’s horn through the centuries to a modern euphonium. Authentic woodwind instruments were interspersed with hosepipes, vacuum cleaner hoses and watering cans. It was a noisy afternoon.

David Wornham has certainly set a high standard for our monthly talks.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, October 22, at 2.30pm at the Norbury Theatre,   Droitwich Spa, when the speaker will be Peter Moore author of Damn His Blood – the story of the Oddingley Murders  who will come and talk to us about the story and  the research.

He will take questions in order to make it a fun and worthwhile afternoon for everyone.
It’s such a local story that it’s really relevant to people in the Droitwich Spa area and there will be lots to say.
