AT the recent AGM the members present re-elected Pat Morley as chairman, who welcomed members and talked about the plays the club had seen in the last year.
These included an excellent production of Antony and Cleopatra starring Patrick Stewart and Harriet Walter in the main roles.
The secretary mentioned the group would be seeing Dame Judi Dench later this year in The Merry Wives of Windsor and in the New Year would be going to see Richard III and King Lear starring Sir Ian McKellen.
The club will celebrate its 40th anniversary next September and various venues were considered to mark this occasion.
The group welcomes new members who would like to be taken by coach to see Shakespeare's plays performed at the Stratford-on-Avon theatres.
