Beoley WI
At the meeting writer John Butterworth entertained us with gripping and humorous stories of the past four centuries at the Lion Hotel in Shrewsbury, which we now see as a most interesting town! Last month, members enjoyed their visit, with refreshments, to Celia Hitch's beautiful garden in Rectory Lane, Alvechurch. In August, we shall have an evening walk along the Worcester Birmingham Canal, followed by supper at the Crown Inn in Withybed Green. In October we are to have a stained glass workshop with materials included in the price.
The competition, for a funny holiday photo, was won by Rosemarie Davies. The next meeting, where we shall de-stress with Derek Norval, will be on Tuesday, September 6 at 7.30 pm at Beoley Village Hall. New members are welcome. The competition is for an unusual mug.
