She told us about Joseph Pilates who invented and promoted the Pilates method of physical fitness and why it is important today to improve core strength and flexibility her talk ended with the ladies joining in the exercises Sharron had prearranged. Rosie thanked Sharron for coming and for giving such an interesting talk.
Nine apologies were received.
It was suggested that we should become a Fairtrade W.I. The committee have agreed this and therefore Fairtrade tea and sugar will be trialled with a view to using permanently in the future.

The group meeting at Burcot village hall hosted by us went well and was attended by more than sixty W.I. Ladies thanks to everyone for their help providing food, drinks, raffle prizes , table decorations and also the ladies tea making ,clearing away and washing up.
Two members recently attended the Parish Council meeting and were asked to help with the display of speed limit posters. This involves anyone who lives on a main road and who is willing to display a poster on their wheelie bin. Idea being motorists will slow down when travelling through the Parish.
We are still looking for another person to come on to the committee.
Book club next meeting May 9.
September NFWI Sports Week it has been suggested we take part by organising perhaps a skittles evening.
For this coming Christmas it was proposed that we as a group instead of sending cards to each other donate a sum of money to a charity. A show of hands indicated that everyone thought this a good idea.
A separate sheet of paper has been given to all members noting all outings and events and everyone including family members are welcome.
