The Redditch Older People's Forum

The forum held the fourth Annual Services Day at the Town Hall in March With more stall holders than in previous years offering advice and help for the older population of Redditch, including health checks for the over 75s, electric blanket testing and replacements for the faulty ones. The local association for the Blind and talking pages for the blind were present, the Cinnamon Trust, the C.C.G.were on hand to help with any problems the stalls mentioned were just a few of the many. Free Coffee, tea and biscuits were available and there was a raffle with many prizes to be won. In all a very successful morning with People meeting up with friends they hadn't seen for a long time.

There were three Guest Speakers at the Coffee Morning in April held at the Ecumenical Centre. Judy Adams and Henry Soulsby from the C.C.G.and Dave Wilkins who came to tell us of his visit to the Palace where he received the M.B.E. The remainder of his talk was Royal Anecdotes. Judy and Henry asked Members if they would kindly fill in a questionnaire on where they felt savings could be made in the healthcare that is provided by the C.C.G. After refreshments the raffle was drawn. Pat Witherspoon, Chairman thanked the Speakers and everyone for attending. The next Coffee Morning will be the A.G.M.to be held at the Ecumenical centre on Thursday May 12th at 10 a.m. Please come and join us.
