Redditch Photographic Society

Danny Green, one of the UK’s finest Natural History photographers, returned to the society recently to enthral the members with his latest lecture , "The art of nature photography". And what a magnificent, well supported evening it turned out to be as Danny took those present on an exciting photographic journey to exotic locations, superbly illustrated with his stunning images of the natural world and the stories behind them. From the Finnish summer spectacular of black-throat divers and hawk owls, to the white tailed eagles of Norway, matched only by the outstanding images of macaque monkeys cavorting in the snows of a Japanese winter. Wonderful up close and personal images of polar bears and arctic foxes in Churchill, Northern Canada and Alaskan Coastal brown bears brought a superb evening to a close.

Danny’s images have been widely published and he has achieved worldwide recognition with wildlife photographer of the year awards as well as other national and international photographic honours. He is also a regular contributor to National Geographic magazine.
