Redditch Art Circle

The meeting this month was in the form of a workshop in which members were encouraged to set up their equipment and work in their usual medium. A number of members accepted the challenge and were soon busy at their projects working in watercolour, pastels or acrylics. As well as the graphic subjects, some craft type activity was taking place with the possibilities of card and die work being explained. Members circulated around the workstations, observing and discussing the techniques being used. Some attractive pastel bird studies were produced along with some very original work in coloured pencil and in acrylics. There was a lot of interest in the watercolour project and overall the workshop format proved to be very popular.

Some time was reserved at the end of the meeting to celebrate a successful year and start the festive season with some mince pies and mulled wine

As usual there will not be a meeting in January, our next meeting will be at St. Luke’s Memorial Hall, Evesham Road, Headless Cross on Wednesday the 3rd of Feb. at 7.30 PM when the AGM will be followed by a ‘Fun with Mixed Media’ presentation by Cheryl Clayton.
