THE well-attended meeting in September had as guest speakers Rob and Diane Cole from Meadow Farm Nursery at Feckenham.
Rob gave a talk called ‘Look at That’.
This consisted of pictures of the strange, funny, quirky and frankly downright unbelievable things that he and Diane have come across on their extensive travels to gardens and nurseries.
He had the audience in stitches.
On October 1 Roger Umpleby, a professional entomologist and horticulturalist will give a talk entitled ‘X-rated invertebrates – Savagery and sex in the garden’.
Alcester Gardening Club welcomes new members. The meetings are mostly on the first Thursday of every month at the Centre, Jubilee Court, St Faiths Road. Guests can attend for £2.50. Any enquiries can be made to the secretary on 01789 765105.
