The first part of the February meeting was devoted to the AGM. The chair reviewed the events of the last year and made presentations to treasurer Jackie Kirby and committee member David Price on their retirement, thanking them for their contribution over many years.
The minutes of the previous AGM were approved and the president gave his address. In it he thanked all the members for their loyal support and stressed the importance of replenishing the pool of officers and committee members. The officers gave their reports and Carol Burmeister and Pam Gosling were elected as treasurer and committee member respectively.
Business completed; Graham Wilson was introduced to give his talk on “Presentation and framing techniques”. The next meeting will be at St Luke’s Memorial Hall, Evesham Road, Headless Cross tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm when David Hyde will demonstrate “Wildlife in acrylics”.
