COLIN Bell, who used to play the piano in Hollywood and knew many famous people there, entertained us most enjoyably on keyboard and with anecdotes. We sang along to a selection of popular songs. We had a good three-course supper with wine, in a hall decorated with seasonal flowers and foliage by member Linda Williams.
The competition, for something purple, was won by Diane Jones with a ruffled cushion that she had knitted.
The Craft Fair is at Beoley Village Hall on the morning of November 8. The AGM and bring and buy is on November 4 at 7.30pm at Beoley Village Hall. New members are welcome. The competition, entry optional, is for something silver-coloured.
