BEHIND the scenes at the Olympic & Paralympics 2012 was the subject of our speaker Graham Heeley at our meeting on February 26.
George was a referee at these events and gave us an interesting account of the way in which events were organised backed up with excellent slides. He also passed round a photograph taken of the final of the 100 metres.
The club does not meet at our usual venue next month as we shall be going to our annual lunch at the Stratford College. OnApril 22 we will be back at the Kings Court Hotel when the speaker will be Jan Heeley, giving a talk called I’d do it all again.
