ON November 11 it was only fitting we had our talk on The Victory Harvest and The Land Army.

With only two hours notice Ron Gallivan agreed to come along to be our afternoon speaker, as our original speaker cancelled.

We had an enjoyable afternoon as Ron had a good sense of humour, his talk was very interesting showing many slides from the onset of the food crisis during the war and the importance of The Land Army how they worked the fields and helped provide food for the country.

We would like to thank Ron for stepping in at short notice.

December will be our Christmas meeting with our party afternoon.

We will start our new year with Kim Neale in January with her talk entitled A Woolley Yarn and all visitors will be welcome. We meet in the Ecumenical Centre at 2pm the second Monday of the month.
