OUR November meeting and annual general meeting was attended by WI adviser Margaret Bazley, who gave an interesting talk.
Sue Watkins, president, reported on all our varied activities of the past year.
Some of the members have done courses at Denman College and Nicky Shaw modelled a beautiful fascinator that she had made on her course.
Margaret Kemp, our treasurer, gave the year’s financial report.
The president and all the committee were thanked for their work on our behalf and the president asked for a special thank you to Margaret Kemp for fulfilling the demanding role of treasurer.
The competition, for Anything That Sparkles, was won by Christine Hateley.
Our Christmas party and three-course dinner with a mystery entertainer will be on Tuesday, December 3 at 7.30pm at Beoley Village Hall. The competition is for a homemade Christmas earring.
