DREAMS can come true, so they say, and the countdown is well and truly on for The Popfest event at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

The all-star event will take place on Saturday June 30 from noon to 11pm, with the aim of attracting “mature people; reliving their youth and being happy”, and one of the headline acts will be Miss Dreams Come True herself, otherwise known as Gabrielle.

A spokesman said: “Nine top ten hits in the 90s! The record-breaking, chart topping singer songwriter returns this summer with a new album, Under My Skin.”

Other headliners will include East 17, Whigfield and Sclub.

And that’s not to forget the one and only Chesney Hawkes, to really add to the Nineties vibe.

There ain’t nobody else like him, of course.

After all, Chesney was only 19 when in 1991 he rocketed to the top of the UK singles charts with ‘The One And Only’ and spent five weeks there.

His single also reached number one in nine countries all over Europe and was a top ten hit in the USA.

Popfest organisers are promising twelve hours of non-stop hits. Who could ask for more?
