TWO very special composers who died in 1918 are to be commemorated at a concert in Tenbury.

It will also commemorate the forthcoming wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

To mark 100 years since the death of both Hubert Parry and Claude Debussy, the Edge Chamber Choir will be joined by the Blue Hills choir in a programme of works by these two composers, including Parry’s rarely performed Hear my Words, ye People at St Michaels Church, Oldwood Road in Tenbury.

They will also be celebrating the royal wedding by performing Parry’s anthem I was Glad which has been sung at many royal occasions and Paul Mealor’s Ubi Caritas, composed for the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

With the church’s uniquely inspiring acoustics and fine Willis organ accompanying, this will be a really exiting concert to attend according to the organisers. There church is regularly used for major concerts.
