DOG owners in Alcester are being urged to make sure their four-legged friends have collars and are micro-chipped.

The reminder comes from the police which said there have been a number of instances over the last week where dogs have been found or reported missing.

A police spokesman said: "We advise that dogs have collars and tags with contact details on just in case they escape and are caught by other members of the public or the dog warden. Obviously, it's also important that they are micro-chipped so found dogs can be returned to their owners."
