A STUDLEY-based sports team received a prestigious award during a ceremony held at Stratford Manor Hotel on Friday, January 23.
The Jump Rope UK skipping team Studley Skippers received the prize for Alternative Sport of the Year during the annual Stratford-on-Avon District Celebration of Sport awards ceremony.
More than 250 guests attended the gathering including 2012 Paralympic gold medalist James Roe MBE and Olympians Glen Smith, Paul Brain and Chris Arrowsmith.
Coventry Athletic legend and Olympian Moorcroft OBE assisted in presenting the awards.
The event hosted is now in its thirteenth year and celebrates the sporting achievements of clubs and individuals across the district and recognises the contributions made from volunteers and parents.
