FOLLOWING news that the CAB office in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre will close next week, a number of measures have been put in place for concerned residents.

THE Advertiser exclusively revealed earlier this week that the CAB office will close from Monday, February 2.

Citizen Advice services for the town will be managed from the CAB office in Bromsgrove.

Interim arrangements will be put in place for residents to access information and advice, while Redditch Council works with Citizen Advice nationally to design a new advice service.

Citizen Advice is providing a small bridging grant to Bromsgrove CAB to enable services to be delivered in Redditch on an outreach basis, pending review and agreement as to the new service.

In the meantime though, Redditch residents requiring access to information and advice can call the county CAB advice line on 03444 111444 for telephone advice or face to face appointments, between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday.

Residents can also consult adviceguide.org.uk to obtain details of other bureaux in the county or pick up a leaflet containing details of these services from Redditch Council reception.

These will be available by the end of next week, Thursday, February 5.
