MEMBERS of Redditch First Responders have helped Redditch Beaver Scouts gain their 1st stage emergency aid badge.

Volunteers from the team taught youngsters from 1st Matchborough, 1st Crabbs Cross and 11th Redditch Rowan Beavers about dangers in the home, together with how to respond to accidents. They learnt how to apply bandages and give CPR.

The First Responders explained their role in the community and how they support the emergency services. One of the highlights was when the Beavers were shown the first response car.

To help with the continued excellent work of the team, the Beavers made a donation to a very worthwhile cause.

Lesley Spencer, Beaver Scout Leader from Rowan Beavers, said "The team were brilliant with the Beavers, the children worked so hard and we are very proud of them all. I would like to thank Dave and the team for giving up their time to help."
