AN EXCITED Kidderminster model and budding actor has been handed a boost after appearing in a comedy movie.

Ben Caswell-James has appeared alongside established stars such as Downton Abbey’s Bill Fellows and prolific movie and TV actress Jane Asher in ‘One Track Mind’.

The comedy about ageism, directed and written by Katerina Philippou-Curtis, was shot over four days on location in Epping, London last Thursday (June 14) and is now being edited before its future release.

For 28-year-old Mr Caswell James, it could be the big acting break he has been looking for after being encouraged to give it a go by friends.

The former King Charles I pupil has previously been in short films, music videos, art projects and modelling at numerous fashion shows.

He said: “I had a great time on set and felt very special. Working with people like Bill and Jane was a huge honour and, for someone still new to acting, you can’t help but gain valuable lessons from them.

“I also had to make sure I was at the absolute top of my game too, acting alongside people of that calibre.

“Ageism is a hot topic and this is a very current film. I’m really looking forward to attending premieres once it is out.”

He added: “I’ve signed up to a talent agency in London and was handpicked to be taken on and be part of ‘One Track Mind. I am very lucky and privileged.

“I never went to acting school or had any lessons but was encouraged to give it a go. I’ve been involved in a few projects over the past few months and have other things coming up so I’m very excited and hopeful for the future.”
