THERE will be cupcakes a plenty at a Stourport care home as residents and staff take part in a national fundraising campaign for a charity close to their hearts.

On Thursday (June 14) between 10.30am and 12.30pm, the team and residents at Ravenhurst Residential Care Home on Lickhill Road North are inviting people in the community to a special tea party in aid of Alzheimer’s Society Cupcake Day.

There will be hot drinks and scrumptious sweet treats to enjoy including homemade cupcakes, in exchange for a donation to the well-known dementia charity.

The Sanctuary Care home’s deputy manager, Jamie Fisher said: “Our residents are really looking forward to cupcake day, and have been trying their hand at some baking of their own in preparation for the special day.

“Providing residential dementia care, as well as residential, this is a cause close to all of our hearts here at Ravenhurst so we do really hope to see some new and familiar faces from our local community to help raise some dough for this worthy charity.”

People wishing to take part can visit the care home on Thursday morning.
