A STOURPORT dance school is urging people to help them finally break a world tap-dancing record and raise money for Children in Need.

Zennor’s Dance and Musical Theatre Academy is calling on people of all ages and abilities to take part in Tapathon 2018 and help them get into the Guinness Book of Records.

It will be the fifth consecutive year Zennor’s has joined dance schools from across the country to perform a recorded routine on the same day at the same time.

The record currently stands at 7,500 people and the nation fell short by just 78 dancers in 2017.

People are being invited to join Zennor’s classes now to prepare for the next world record attempt on Sunday, November 18.

Principal and owner Zennor McGuire said: "This is great way to start dancing again. We welcomed out first male tap dancers last year and are looking for more.

"Tapathon is a fantastic way to learn or improve Tap dancing skills, whilst making friends ,being part of a warm and friendly team whilst helping a great charity - there will also be a special guest on the day!”

Rehearsals start this July every Monday at Far Forest Village hall at 7.30pm and Saturdays at 3pm at Stourport’s Minster Road, Church Hall.

People can contact Zennor McGuire for any further information by calling 01299 266 814 or 07759 097550 or via email at zennoruk@aol.com.
