HALESOWEN College’s Whittingham Road campus will be open for visitors and prospective students this Saturday (January 27).

From 10am until 2pm, the open day will see college staff and students show the range of courses for school leavers, while demonstrating why young people should choose the college.

While activities taking place across the campus include ‘survival in an artic environment’, a keepie uppie challenge, ‘face your animal fears’ and a schools ‘Bake Off’ competition.

Visitors to the catering department will also have the opportunity to meet Louisa Ellis, from Birmingham’s Wilderness restaurant, who was a recent runner-up in ‘Master Chef the Professionals’.

David Williams, college principal, said: “Building on the success of our November open events, we are looking forward to welcoming visitors and giving them the opportunity to look around and discuss course options, career goals and aspirations.”
