FLOWERS from a Herefordshire farm have been used in a display celebrating British growers at Chelsea Flower Show.

The Twisted Sisters Flower Farm and Floral Design Studio in Marden provided and delivered some of the flowers for the Flowers from the Farm's first display at the show in London.

Debbie Hutchinson and Melissa Ashley from the farm and studio in north Herfordshire are part of the Flowers from the Farms network, which is a not-for-profit organisation.

The organisation is run by volunteers to promote the use of seasonal British-grown flowers, which currently account for only about 15 percent of cut flowers bought by consumers in the UK.

Flowers were provided from the network from all over the UK and volunteers organised the display, which has been built and manned by members, all without any corporate sponsorship.

The Flowers from the Farm display can be found in the centre of the Great Pavilion and they will be featured on BBC2 on Wednesday night.
