A SHIPSTON pub has scooped the best in the county award.
The George Townhouse in Shipston has been awarded the Best Pub in Warwickshire by the National Pub and Bar Awards County Winners.
The announcements of the awards for the best regional and national winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held on Wednesday May 23 at the BAFTA theatre in London.
General manager of The George Townhouse, Pete Nicholas, said: “We are thrilled to be named as the best pub in Warwickshire by the Pub & Bar Awards for a second year running.
"We’ve worked hard to make the George the ‘go to’ pub locally, whether you want a quick drink or a leisurely meal, as well as giving overnight guests a memorable stay in our beautiful rooms.”
The George Townhouse is a Grade II listed building on Shipston’s High Street.
