SOUL legends Jackie and Marlon Jackson were the surprise visitors at West Midland Safari Park when they visited Bewdley.

The brothers took a day off from The Jacksons’ current UK tour yesterday (Monday, August 6) to meet the animals at the attraction during an outing with their families.

As well as being taken on tour by staff and delighting other visitors, the pair enjoyed feeding the rhino and tigers, signing an old ostrich egg as well as meeting the park’s new baby zebra.

And the Safari Park certainly got the Motown seal of approval from the delighted stars.

They posted on their official Facebook page: “When on tour you get to see the fans and then see some great places on our days’ rest.

“We visited the West Midland Safari Park and it was so cool, the kids loved it.

“We loved feeding the rhino and white tiger. Thank you to everyone we met - you made our day! Big kids at heart!”

A spokesman for West Midland Safari Park added: “We were delighted to welcome Jackie and Marlon Jackson yesterday, who visited the Park whilst on a rest day from their sold out shows in England and Ireland.

“The pair and their families met our Asian rhinos, tigers and African elephants, along with the new baby zebra.

“The keepers were especially excited to meet them, with both Jackie and Marlon chatting to them about the animals we have at the Park. A fantastic day was had by all and we wish them the best of luck on the rest of their tour."

It’s not the first time a Jackson brother has been in Wyre Forest this year. In May, Tito enjoyed a memorable ride on Severn Valley Railway train.
