SEEDLING swots and green-fingered gurus are invited to swap their top gardening tips and know-how at a social event in Catshill.

As well as sharing best practice and enjoying a mingle, residents can consider setting up a future seed and plant swap shop with like-minded folk.

The event is part of the latest community projects to make Catshill beautiful, which have included a spruce-up by the Spar and a litter-pick at the local school.

Bromsgrove District Council’s centres manager Cheryl Welsh, who is helping to co-ordinate the event which will go towards Catshill in Bloom 2019, said: “This is a perfect opportunity to bring the community together and at the same time get friendly advice from avid gardeners and who knows in the future even pick up a new plant or two!

“As well as making new friends, by coming together we can improve the appearance of Catshill too.”

The event, which is sponsored by Singleton's Nurseries, is being held at Catshill Village Hall on Saturday, August 11, from 11am until 1pm.
