A WELL-KNOWN Evesham hotel has been sold for a seven figure fee.

Grade II listed Northwick Hotel in Waterside, Evesham has been sold off a guide price of over £1.35 million by Colliers International.

The recently-refurbished hotel, which was originally built as a coaching inn some 200 years ago, was refurbished in recent years and provides 29 letting bedrooms, function and meeting rooms, plus restaurant and bar.

It has been sold to a private purchaser, and will be run by leading UK independent hospitality management company Hospitality First.

Clive Nicholls, chief executive of Hospitality First, said: “This was a swiftly-completed transaction and we are now looking forward to managing the Northwick Hotel, and further building upon its existing reputation in the region.”

Peter Brunt, a director in Colliers International’s Hotels Agency team, said: “The Northwick is a quality, all-round hotel and was brought to the market when the current owner decided to retire after many years of trading.

“The Northwick hotel is prominently located on the edge of Evesham town centre, making it ideal for both business and leisure guests looking for good quality accommodation and service.

"However, it also offers great potential for its new owner to make their mark on it, and I look forward to seeing how it is further developed under the management of Hospitality First.”
