THIS year’s Badsey Flower Show took place on Saturday July 28 in the Recreation Ground, Sands Lane, Badsey, near Evesham, between 1pm and 5pm.

Despite heaving rain showers in the latter part of the afternoon, the event was well attended and lots of fun was had.

The main act on the main showground arena and in the marquee, was the Bubbleinc who created all sorts of bubbles including giant bubbles, clouds of bubbles and even square bubbles.

Other entertainment included an agility and skills display by Stunt Dogs, a performance by Evesham’s United Dance Academy and the crowning of the Badsey Carnival king and queen.

The hoped for vintage RAF Dakota flypast did not take place, due to the adverse weather.

Adrian Barradell, committee member said: “Despite some very breezy winds at the beginning and some heavy rain in the latter part of the afternoon, a lot of fun was had at the show this year.

"When the heavy rain hit we were able to move some of the entertainments inside, into the main marquee and even at the end of the day at around 5pm, we still had around 200 people in the marquee to watch the awarding of the show cups and prizes and the announcing of the raffle prizes.

“The Badsey Flower Show Committee would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and to all the helpers and volunteers.”
