WORK has started to construct the road under the railway bridge at a section of the A4440, as work continues at the site.
The section which runs under the railway bridge between Whittington and Norton Roundabout is to be fully dualled by next spring, Worcestershire Highways say.
Work on the new road started this week, and once complete will help to alleviate the bottleneck that can often build up at the location.
Work on moving the new section of railway bridge into place, which saw both the road and railway line closed for nearly a week in May, was actually completed 36 hours earlier than planned.
