A FUNDRAISING night in memory of a beloved Belbroughton woman has raised more than £2,000 for blood cancer charity Bloodwise.
Natasha Hickie and her friend Gemma Webster organised the charity night in tribute to Natasha’s grandmother Elizabeth Price.
Elizabeth, who lived in Belbroughton all of her life, died from leukaemia earlier this year.
The evening, held at Belbroughton Club, attracted a crowd of almost 100 people and raised £2,219.57 for Bloodwise.
Gemma provided live entertainment by singing a host of popular numbers from the 1970s onwards, while donations and raffles helped boost the charity tally.
A spa day and a day out in London for two were among 15 raffle prizes, while there were also a host of ‘spot’ prizes given out including £150 cash donated by Belbroughton Developments, flowers, afternoon tea for two and a photo shoot.
Natasha said: “The night was full of family, friends and local villagers. It was a truly magical night for a truly wonderful woman.”
