A ROAD between Prior's Frome and Checkley is currently blocked due to a fallen oak tree.
The tree fell this morning and has cut off the broadband connection for residents in the area.
A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of the fallen tree on Checkley to Prior’s Frome road. An inspector is currently at the scene and we hope to have the road open as soon as possible.”
2.30pm update: A council spokesman added: "We’ve had confirmation that the road will not be open today; it’s a large tree so a large job to remove it safely. Potentially the road will remain closed for several days. We are liaising with BT as it has brought down BT cables."
