FUNDRAISERS can take part in an annual run through fields around a village in aid of hospice care.
The Scenic Six, run by St Richard’s Hospice, takes place on Sunday, April 22 around Peopleton, near Pershore.
Jayne Sargeant, fundraiser at St Richard’s Hospice, said: “We really look forward to this event, as it’s such a fun and varied course through one of the county’s picturesque villages.
“We were delighted last year’s event raised so much for our care – so sign-up and help us raise even more in 2018.
“From the team here at St Richard’s, we’d like to thank the community in Peopleton for its continued support in hosting this popular event.”
The event is named after the course – which is a six mile off-road, multi-terrain route. Those not wishing to take part in the six-mile course can make their way around a two-mile fun run course.
Last year, around 230 runners helped raise £3,000 to support the hospice’s care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, their loved ones and bereaved people.
Refreshments and cakes will be made available after the run and an awards ceremony will take place in the village hall.
The Scenic Six is sponsored by The Plough and Harrow in Drakes Broughton and is supported by Peopleton WI, Les Bailey, La Povey and volunteers from Peopleton and St Richard’s Hospice.
Both races begin at 11am.
