PEOPLE who are on their own on Sundays are being invited to join a small social group which meets in Halesowen and Blackheath.
The ‘Sunday Friends’ group currently meets at 12pm every other week – on the first Sunday in the month at the Rose and Crown, in Hagley Road, Halesowen, and on the third Sunday at Cheswicks Coffee Shop, in Bassano Road, Blackheath.
As well as coming together for meals, the group – which does not have an age restriction – also plans theatre trips and days out.
Jean Green, who runs the group, said: “Sunday can be a difficult day for many people, so we are looking for more people to join us.
“It would be good to hear from anyone who is lonely on a Sunday.”
