MUCH-LOVED Stourbridge motorcyclist Elliott Beddow will be remembered in a charity ride taking place this weekend.

Family, friends and bikers will be turning out in force for a charity ride out from Stourton, where Elliott lived, to Shropshire’s picturesque Carding Mill Valley on Sunday July 30 in memory of the tragic 20-year-old biker who died after crashing his Harley Davidson in Brettell Lane in the early hours of September 3 last year.

The event has been organised to commemorate what would have been a milestone birthday for tragic Elliott (pictured below), who would have turned 21 on Thursday July 27.

Redditch Advertiser:

People are invited to ride on bikes or in cars for the road trip which will set out from Elliott's Bridgnorth Road home at 9.30am and which will raise funds for Help for Heroes - a charity the young apprentice engineer was fond of.

Elliott’s sister Sophie Webster, aged 26, said: "We are expecting over 100 motorbikes and cars - and we're hoping to get there for around 10.30am. It's a nice ride - it's all countryside, that's what Elliott would have liked."

Riders will be asked for a donation of £5 per vehicle for Help for Heroes which can be made online at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/elliottsride.

The family would also appreciate donations from non riders to help raise as much money as possible for the charity which will be sending a representative along.

They have so far raised £454 in donations and from the sale of T-shirts.

Those taking part are asked to assemble at around 8.45am in Bridgnorth Road, opposite Stourton Crescent (DY7 6RT).
