A KIND-hearted youngster celebrated her seventh birthday in an unusual fashion as she braved a drastic hair cut for charity.

Birchen Coppice School pupil Leilah Farghaly has so far raised £600 for the Little Princess Trust after having her hair cut for the charity in front of her friends, family and teachers on July 21.

Leilah first heard about the Little Princess Trust last year while watching BBC’s Children in Need and was so moved, that she decided to do something to help.

Kay Butler, Birchen Coppice Headteacher, said: “We are all so proud of Leilah. Her thoughtfulness for those children suffering from cancer has touched us all.

“Well done Leilah – our little one with a big heart.”

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs for children across the UK who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
