Sue Edwards, who has just completed a Masters in Fine Art at Gloucester University, and is a qualified teacher and lecturer, paints large and colourful oil canvases, and has been appointed artist-in-residence at The Cider Museum this summer by the museum's director, Elizabeth Pimblett.
Sue's subject matter for this summer project will, unsurprisingly, feature apples and trees. Sue also specialises in coastal scenes and works on commission painting portraiture, landscapes, and gardens.
There will also be an exhibition of Sue's paintings at The Cider Museum to coincide with H.Art Wekk, which this year runs from Saturday, September 9 to Sunday, September 17.
Visitors are welcome to call in to The Cider Museum to watch the paintings evolve, or to pick up some painting tips, but to avoid disappointment Sue advises that you call to confirm that she will be at the museum as she also paints out on location in fine weather.
