HEIGHTINGTON Village Hall is set to welcome acclaimed folk singer Bob Fox for his “War Horse in Song” performance.
The show, which takes place on Friday, May 5, reprises his role of the “Songman” in a solo performance of the songs and influences that shaped the multi award-winning musical War Horse.
The twice-nominated BBC Folk Awards Folk Singer of the year has toured the world both solo and alongside a host of big names.
He has developed a unique concert performance of the War Horse songs through stories of his own involvement with the show and other traditional songs from his native North East of England which are sympathetic to the story.
A spokesman for the hall said the performance is not just for people who have seen War Horse, but will appeal to Bob’s fans as well as a general audience interested in being involved in such a massive hit show.
Adult tickets cost £10 and children under 16 £8, this includes an interval with tea, coffee, soft drinks and cakes.
The doors open at 7pm with the show getting underway at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from 01299 822987 or 07966 219813.
