POLICE are treating the death of a 55-year-old Kidderminster man who died in hospital as suspicious, and have made an arrest.

An ambulance was called to a property in Offmore Road at around 8.30pm on Friday, March 24, and found the man with serious head injuries.

The man, who has not been named by police, was taken to hospital where he died yesterday, (Saturday).

Staff at the hospital alerted West Mercia Police following concerns around the cause of his injuries, and an investigation was launched.

A 22-year-old man from Kidderminster was later arrested and is currently helping police with their enquiries.

The man's next of kin were informed and a post mortem is due to take place.

Detective Inspector John Cashion said: "We're currently keeping an open mind about the cause of death and we're keen to speak to anyone who has any information that could help us with our enquires."
