A WORCESTER man has been jailed for breaching a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO).

Eric William Liveley, of Broad Street, was made subject to the order by the courts in April 2010 following the 56-year-old's conviction, and four year custodial sentence, for sexual activity with a child, voyeurism and taking indecent photographs of a child.

Liveley was found guilty of breaching the SOPO having come into unsupervised contact with a child under the age of 16, and a judge sentenced him to 28 months in jail when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on February 24.

A new sexual harm prevention order was also granted at court.

It included the prohibition for Liveley not to have contact with any child under the age of 16, unless accompanied by an adult who has full knowledge of the conviction, and with the express approval of children's services within the area the child resides - other than that which is inevitable in everyday life.

Liveley is also banned from taking part in paid, voluntary, or recreational activity which is likely to bring him into contact with persons under the age of 16, and taking any photographs or making any images of children under the age of 16, except with the consent of their parent or guardian who has full knowledge of the conviction.
