A WORDSLEY road is set to be closed for three months, residents and motorists are being warned.

Dudley Council is closing a section of Bells Lane between March 27 and June 26 to allow Amey, working on behalf of Severn Trent Water, to carry out flood alleviation works.

The road will be closed between Sandringham Place and about 30m south of the junction with Warwick Road.

A council spokeswoman said cars will be diverted along Sandringham Place, Sandringham Road, Balmoral Road and vice-versa, and access to the frontages during the closure will be “maintained where safe to do so”.
