A REDDITCH man who was killed on his way home from the pub will be remembered as part of a special event featuring hundreds of bikers.
Motorcycle enthusiast Nigel Shakespeare, or Shaggy, as he was known to his friends, died following an incident in Sillins Avenue, in Lakeside, in 2013.
He was walking home from the Kings Arms pub with his partner when he was punched and knocked to the ground.
He died from a fractured skull.
A 17-year-old was given a four year sentence for the manslaughter of the 50-year-old and has since been released on licence.
The event, organised by the 1066 motorcycle club, a Birmingham-based bike club, will see members of the biker community from all over the country meet at The Lower Lode pub in Gloucester and pay their respects to bikers who have lost their lives.
The event is on March 25 starting at 11am.
