THREE pro motocross riders from Bromsgrove are preparing for the third round of the Arenacross Tour 2017, which is taking place at Birmingham's NEC this Saturday.

MVR-D Husqvarna's Pro Lites rider Chris Povey and SuperMini step-brothers Cory Aldridge and Charlie Keight will be showing their skills in front of a partisan home crowd at the Genting Arena on January 21.

23-year-old Chris was drafted into the Husquvarna-backed team just three days before the opening round of the tour.

Chris, who buys and sells used cars by day, said: "It was a massive learning curve for me. I’ve never ridden indoor motocross before but the support from my team has made it easier, they provide the tools and I just go out and do the job."

The AX star has featured in the top eight of the four races held so far and is confident he can do the same this weekend.

Brothers Cory, 12, and Charlie, 11, last rode the full series two years ago in the 65cc class, but are contesting the bigger 85cc class this year.

According to their parents, the pair are highly competitive and will certainly thrive off the sibling rivalry this weekend.

The AX team will be on hand to chat with fans, talk abou ttheir experience and sign the odd poster or two after the show.

FMX legends Edgar Torronteras, Petr Pilat, Jamie Squibb, Steve Sommerfeld, Dan Whitby and his Bolddog crew will also be in the building.

The Arenacross girls will be stationed at the AX Activation Area, where a DJ will be playing music to entertain guests.

A range of new AX merchanside will be on sale, and a fully-stocked bar will be set up on the day.

All ticket holders for the evening show will automatically qualify for free entry to an afternoon Pit Party from 3pm in The Pavilion, but capacity is limited and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
