LUDLOW is known for the best of traditional English cuisine but it can also match up when it comes to Asian cooking.

Philip Dunne MP for Ludlow has congratulated local restaurant Golden Moments for being highly commended in the Tiffin Cup, an annual competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.

The MP nominated Golden Moments after asking constituents to contact him with their nominations for the best South Asian restaurant in the Ludlow Constituency.

Now in their 10th year, the awards, allow MPs to put forward nominations from their constituency, with one restaurant from each region shortlisted and invited to the Grand Final cook off event at Parliament.

This year, proceeds were donated to World Vision and WaterAid.

“It is great to see Ludlow’s Golden Moments being highly commended in the Tiffin Cup and I congratulate the team on their hard work,” said Philip Dunne.

“The Ludlow constituency has a great range of culinary diversity, drawing in tourists from across the country and the world.

“Further recognition in awards like this show south Shropshire restaurants, shops and producers do not rest on their laurels when it comes to a reputation for great quality food.”
