MOTORCYCLISTS viewed what the county had to offer by travelling around the edge of the county.

Herefordshire Vintage Motor Cycle Club ran Herefordshire on the Edge which attracted 53 entries to the start which was at The Travellers Rest in Ross-on-Wye.

It was open to motorcycles and three-wheelers which were made prior to 1991.

Entrants had to plot their own route around the county boundary by selecting from 30 different points chosen by the organisers.

Medals were awarded depending on the number of points visited. Seven riders managed to visit all 30 points – a ride of about 190 miles- and 16 gold medals were awarded to those who visited 24 points or more.

A wide range of British, Japanese and Continental machines was on show with Wigmore’s Steve Sumner bringing the oldest – a 1928 New Imperial.
