CHILDREN and parents can discover Worcester's history this half term, with the Love Worcester Heritage Festival.

A range of exciting events have been planned to be held during the week at the city's heritage attractions.

At the Hive library visitors can go behind the scenes to discover the mystery of Shakespeare's marriage and the world of Tudor Worcester, as well as handle some Tudor pottery.

On Thursday, February 18, visitors can can also enjoy some archaeological activities in the children's library.

The Infirmary, located at the University of Worcester’s city campus, is offering visitors the chance to see the science behind romance, just after Valentine's Day.

On Tuesday, February 16, visitors can explore matters of the brain and what happens in the body and the heart when someone falls in love.

Worcester's famous porcelain history is being celebrated at the museum from Saturday, February 13, to Friday, February 19, when families can go undercover to learn about industrial espionage in the 18th century.

The museum is also providing the opportunity for visitors to explore the secret recipe for making porcelain and to enjoy looking at some of the exhibits.

On Friday, February 19, children can go back in time to discover what life was like for Georgian children in Worcester.

Located at St Swithun’s Church, children can enjoy playing with toys from the Georgian period as well as seeing some of the popular Georgain games.
