THERE was an unexpected - and rather dramatic - water feature in one St John's street after a pipe burst sent water shooting skyward.
Water sprayed "as high as a house" after workers struck a pipe in Kingsbury Road, off Winchester Avenue, St John's, this morning (Tuesday).
Severn Trent Water sent out a team to fix the leak and fortunately people's water supply was not affected.
Neighbour Charlotte Lloyd sent in these pictures and joked that she was not keen on the new water feature.
A Severn Trent spokeswoman said: "We were called out to Kingsbury Road in Worcester this afternoon after reports of a burst water pipe.
"Our pipe had been damaged by a third party who were working on a service pipe outside one of the homes on Kingsbury Road.
"We managed to quickly stop the leak and fix our pipe.
"Fortunately, our customers water supplies were not affected.”
